The Receivables Management Intensive Training and Job Placement Services train persons with physical and visual impairment to become collectors, skip tracers and data entry, check collection pre-certification assistants, in cooperation with premiere members of the collection industry. Employment assistance begins immediately upon entry to the training service.
The STAR Center, the ACA International Foundation, the Tennessee Collectors Association, and the State of Tennessee's Department of Rehabilitation are partners in this highly successful project. Tennessee Division of Rehabilitation Services counselors identify and refer participants. Interested clients receive a comprehensive vocational evaluation for further screening, where the prospect's academic skills, personality traits and job interests are assessed. The curriculum is based on training materials developed by the ACA International Foundation and the STAR, and involves approximately 80 hours of instruction and lab work. Graduates receive help with resumes and job interviewing skills. Center The ACA International Foundation is a non-profit public educational foundation dedicated to increasing financial literacy in the United States and to support job training and educational programs in related areas.
